My team is now preparing for another campaign for the November 19th, 2011 election. This will be the third campaign for me in three years.

I certainly have gained a lot of knowledge since my election in the March 2011 By-Election and have enjoyed every minute of it.

Having said that, there is still much to learn and as cliche as it might sound there certainly is a steep learning curve as a newly elected councillor.

As a councillor I am proud of how I have dealt with difficult issues like low barrier housing, the new Zoning By-law 4500, and a $65 million water treatment plant.

This is an exciting time to be a councillor and I look forward to helping shape the future of Nanaimo.
